The future of alternatives is now was the theme of this year's IPA Vision conference in Toronto. One topic in particular, straight through processing for retail alternative investments, seemed to be on the minds of many participants and was carried through the general sessions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.
WealthForge was honored to be given the opportunity to share our vision of a world where retail alternatives are as easy to invest in as a mutual fund. As one of the inaugural sponsors of the Tech Lab, we featured live demonstrations of Altigo, our straight through processing technology platform.
Additionally, Kevin Zwick, WealthForge Head of Sales, joined Angie Fisher from CIM Group, and Mike Huisman from Envision Financial Systems in a panel discussion on "Assessing Risk and Charting the Smart Path Forward with Current Technology" which highlighted the opportunities for sponsors, broker-dealers and registered investment advisors, and their service providers to benefit from straight through processing automation.
Beyond WealthForge’s programming, it was exciting to hear participants in other panel discussions share their experiences with Altigo and other fintech platforms. Louis Rogers, Founder and CEO of Capital Square 1031, for example, shared how the Altigo is transforming the DST marketing in his panel discussion "An Exchange of 1031 Ideas with Industry Leaders".
